   Stunning beaches, breathtaking nature and scenery, delicious food, and affordable. Yes, we’re talking about the underrated Albania. This country has an amazing coastline, offering you plenty of blue crystalline water beaches and in this post I’ll show you some of the most beautiful Albanian beaches.

1. Grama Bay, Vlore

   Grama Bay Beach is a bay coastline in a natural place among the mountains. With picturesque views, crystal turquoise water and light pebble, this beach is an absolute gem that will take your breath away. This beach is a must if you want to run away from the crowds! If you’re willing to get on a boat and explore paradisiac remote beaches, this can be the one for you! 

   Grama Bay Beach also suits everyone,  solo travelers, relaxation romantic getaway, hikers, … here you can find loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, and toilets. Aside from amenities, here you can also enjoy various activities, such as sup-surfing, kayaking, and snorkeling.

2. San Andreas Bay/ Shen Andreas Bay, Vlore

   5km away from Grama Bay Beach, is located San Andreas Bay. This beach is very similar to Grama Bay Beach, a “hidden gem”/ secret beach in the nature among the mountains. With amazing views, calm crystal turquoise water and light pebble. With the only difference that there are no amenities.

   Just like Grama Bay Beach, Shen Andreas Bay is also located on the sunny coast in a remoteness village outside the Shate (Dukat), which makes the access to it a little bit difficult. The only way to get to this beach is by boat.

   Also located in Vlore county, despite being located in an urban area this beach is amazing if you’re looking for a crystal blue water, light pebble, and picturesque views coastline among the mountains of very easy access. 

5. Gjipe Beach

   Gjipe beach, one of the most famous unspoiled Albanian beaches. A light pebble beach with warm, calm crystal clear waters, picturesque views, among the mountains and surrounded by the cliffs, located in a remote area.

   Beside the nature that this beach offers you it also has amenities, such as loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, and toilets to offer you. But that’s not the only thing that this hidden gem has to offer. Gipje Beach is perfect for snorkeling, sea kayaking, and even beach camping.

   As already mentioned, Gipje Beach is located in a remote area, which makes the access a little bit more difficult (but not impossible) the dirt road is rough so if you don’t have a 4WD to drive all the way down to the shore, you have to be willing to walk a 30-45 minute path from the parking area to the beach, which you’ll probably not regret it, as it has spectacular landscape views. If you don’t have a 4WD and you’re also not willing to walk 30-45 minutes, there’s also the possibility to get there by boat.

6. Krorez Beach, Saranda - Vlore County

   If you’re looking for a beach where you can relax Krorez Beach is perfect for you. This not well-known hidden-gem is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains. This paradise beach has turquoise water and light sand and pebble cover, you can even spot fishes in its’ crystal waters. There is nothing but stunning nature to enjoy.

  The only way to reach this hidden gem is by boat, but the trip is very worth it. It just takes a short boat ride away from Saranda, boasting a picturesque  and a breathtaking experience.

7. Plazhi Me Shpella, Ilias - Vlore County

   Plazhi Me Shpella, this small stunning crystal-clear, turquoise water beach and light pebble beach among the mountains and surrounded by cliffs will take you breath away. Wether you’re just looking for a relaxing day in a hidden-gem beach or not, this beach has a lot more to offer, if you’re more of an explorer you can take the day snorkeling and exploring its’ caves. For hikers, this beach is also a must, the breathtaking scenery will make you want to explore every mile of this beach.

 

   Plazhi Me Shpella is located in a remote area, which makes its’ access a little bit difficult, making its’ access only possible by water. Which will luckily not be a problem since water taxis ferries are available all day long.

8. Kosthoves Beach, Manastir - Vlore County

   Koshtoves beach is a beach located in an urban area, among the mountains and surrounded by the cliffs. This beach shoreline is occupied by hotels, meaning that all the amenities offered is only available to its’ guests.

   Although being a beach of very easy access since it’s located very close to the road it is still a very relaxing beach, it usually doesn’t gets crowded even in high seasons.

9. Dhermi Beach, Dhermi - Vlore County

   Just a few km away from Gjipe Beach is another hidden-gem that’s not so hidden anymore, Dhermi Beach considered one of Albania’s most gorgeous spots, and it really is so! A long, crystal turquoise water and light pebble beach surrounded by mountains and nature.

   Dhermi Beach is a perfect choice for families, since it’s of very easy access and it has plenty of activities and amenities to offer. In this beach aside sunbathing  you can enjoy kayaking, and beach volleyball. There are also many sun loungers and umbrellas available to hire such as plenty of cafes, restaurants and  bars, that transforms this beach into a big beach party at night.

   Be aware that Dhermi Beach is completely surrounded by hotels and that this is a very popular beach around tourists, so make sure to plan forward to make sure that you get a spot.

10. Kakoma Beach, Nivice-Bubar - Vlore County

   Looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life and over-crowded popular beaches? Than you should add Kakoma Beach to your must-visit list. This stunning beach surrounded only by mountains and nature is a ideal for you if you’re aiming for a relaxing day on the beach. Its’ pristine sands and crystal-clear waters create a serene atmosphere that is truly captivating. The breathtaking views and refreshing sea breeze make it a perfect place for a leisurely stroll or a fun-filled day of swimming and sunbathing. Whether you are looking for a peaceful retreat or an exciting adventure, the beach has something to offer for everyone. It is a must-visit destination that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
   Due to the remoteness of the beach, its’ access requires traversing some distance on foot. The road leading to the beach could use some work, but once you arrive, the tranquil atmosphere is worth it.

11. Karabrun Beach, Cobenjt (Zvernec) - Vlore County

   Karaburun beach is a tiny light pebble and crystal turquoise water bay with very picturesque views, located in a natural place among the mountains.

   Karaburun beach is fully occupied by beach clubs with restricted entrance and the beach facilities, such as loungers and umbrellas, restaurant, changing rooms, and toilets are only available to visitors of the resort area. 

   Due to the remote location of this beach, this part of the coast is inaccessible by land and you can only access this beach by water.

12. Akuarium Beach, Jale - Vlore County

Aquarium Beach is a very small, hidden and deserted beach in a small bay among the mountains and surrounded by cliffs and nature. Despite being very small and not so popular it can still get very crowded during high season.

   As mentioned before, Akuarium beach is located in the middle of nowhere, which means that accessing the beach may require traversing some distance on foot if you don’t have a 4WD.

13. Ksamil Beach, Ksamil - Vlore County

   Located in the “Pearl of the Ionian”, Albanias’ capital of sun, sand and sea – Ksamil Town. Ksamil town offers amazing white sand and crystal blue water beaches the beaches also offer you amenities such as loungers and umbrellas, and plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants. It is impossible to get bored on any of Ksamil beaches in the heart of the town. Just have in mind that Ksamil beaches are very popular, if not the most popular spot in Albania, which means that it can get pretty crowded.

   If you’re looking for a more relaxed and less crowded beach, there are three small islands offshore which you can reach and explore by boat or kayak.

14. Mango Beach

   Mango beach, a short straight coastline with crystal blue water and light fine pebble located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is , so you don’t need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

A significant part of the beach is occupied by beach clubs with limited access The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.
